We have come across homeowners who paint their homes every time the season changes. It’s a lot of work, but it creates a vibe that complements the time of year. Now that fall is in full swing, here are some pre-holiday paint colors that create an inviting atmosphere. Our interior painters recommend these for fully engaging in the holiday spirit.
Pre-Holiday Paint Color Guide
Thanksgiving just ended, but you can still evoke the spirit of the harvest season by using pumpkin-shade colors like gold or burnt umber. Use these colors for the walls and top off the trims with an off-white or the lightest shade from the same color card.
If your emphasis is on Christmas, then consider red and green shades. Colors like forest green, crimson, and burgundy are seasonal favorites especially for areas where you expect guests. For instance, the dining room will definitely benefit from these hues. You can even complement the room further with silver or gold accents.
Red works well because it’s a warm color and generates a cozy feel. The color is also said to increase appetite, thus all the more reason to use it for the dining space.
As for green, this hue is known as a relaxing color. This provides a calming backdrop for the hectic holidays. It’s great for both home and workplace.
If painting entire rooms is too much of an undertaking, then consider just painting the designated accent wall, or just the trims.
Finally, keep in mind that these colors are also applicable for commercial painting projects.
